Job summary

Brightpoint is seeking a Home Visitor in Indiana to support families in using their home as the child’s primary learning environment. You will help parents provide developmentally appropriate activities and screen infants/toddlers.

The role emphasizes building trusting relationships and linking families with health and education resources. The position requires an Associate Degree in Education or Social Services, strong communication, and the ability to work off-site with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Must possess minimum of an Associate Degree in Education, Social Services or related field.
Must obtain the Home Visitors CDA within 12 months of hire.
Must become certified in First Aid and CPR within twelve (12) months of employment.
Ability to work outside the office with minimal supervision.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to relate well with staff, visitors, and clients from diverse backgrounds.
Must have valid Indiana driver’s license and maintain minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000.

Responsibilities

Work with parents and pregnant women to provide a safe environment for children to learn.
Provide learning opportunities that enhance child growth and development.
Screen infants/toddlers using Ages and Stages Questionnaire within 45 days of enrollment.
Help families obtain a medical and dental home and maintain health schedules.
Develop warm, respectful relationships with children and parents.
Conduct ongoing child development assessments with families and plan activities.
Implement Brightpoint values at all times.
