Job summary

Brightpoint is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for Early Head Start/Education programs in Bloomington. You will train, coach, and supervise teaching staff; build relationships with families; oversee lesson plans and routines; and partner with leaders to ensure program quality and family engagement.

Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and state credentials are required; supervisory experience is preferred. This is a full-time role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field.
• Illinois Gateways to Opportunity ECE Level 5 Credential required; Director Level 1 Credential required or obtained within 12 months.
• Food Sanitation Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains current knowledge of Center’s operation, philosophy, and goals.
• Assumes responsibility for operation of the program in the absence of the Site Manager.
• Supervises and manages workload of staff; hires, trains, and evaluates personnel actions.
• Provides coaching and support to teaching staff; models effective teaching and behavior management strategies.
• Identifies areas for professional development and supports staff training.
• Assists teachers with lesson plans, observations, and interpretation of child outcome data.
