Job summary

Brightpoint in Illinois is seeking a Strong Beginnings Home Visitor to support high‑risk families through observation of parent‑child interactions, goal setting, and community referrals. This role emphasizes family‑centered, strength‑based practice and collaboration with local providers to expand supports for young children.

The position is full‑time, hybrid with remote work 1–2 days, requires an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred), at least one year with families, and English/Spanish

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Social Work, Child Development or a closely related field required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• At least one year of experience working with families with children under age 5.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.
• Ability to communicate in English; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe parent–child interactions and assess communication and empathic responses.
• Engage parents in reflective dialogue on developing parent–child relationships and goal setting.
• Foster community connections and referrals to early intervention, mental health, and health care services.
• Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with local providers.

Education

Associate's Degree in Social Work, Child Development or a closely related field

Bachelor's Degree

Excellent written and verbal communication

Strong relationship building and collaboration

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
