Job summary

Brightpoint in Bloomington, IL is seeking an Early Start Home Visitor to work with expectant parents and families with young children in McLean County, delivering strength-based, family-centered services and connecting families to needed resources.

You will build trusting relationships, complete timely assessments, support parent-child interactions, help families expand their networks, and coordinate with community services, including early intervention, health care, and social supports.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in human services required; Bachelor's preferred.
• One year of experience working with families with children under 5.
• English and Spanish preferred; valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Implements assigned Home Visiting model with fidelity.
• Completes assessments with families to determine needs within timelines.
• Establishes trusting and nurturing relationships with clients/participants.
• Observes parent-child interactions with empathic responses and facilitates reflection.
• Helps families expand support networks and navigate community resources (early intervention, mental health, health care).
• Plans and facilitates groups on parenting topics and social support for families.
