Job summary

Includ(Ed) is seeking an Early Intervention Occupational Therapist to serve infants and toddlers primarily in home settings across San Diego. The role includes driving time (paid) and mileage reimbursement, with a focus on developmental outcomes in motor, sensory, and cognitive areas.

The therapist will develop individualized plans, document progress, and collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team. Position may be part-time or full-time based on program needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• CA State licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience working with young children in educational or therapeutic settings.
• Knowledge of inclusive education and early childhood development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct services to children with diverse needs, fostering their motor, sensory, and cognitive development.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for children, in collaboration with parents and other professionals.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations in children's homes to identify specific therapeutic needs.
• Provide individualized treatment sessions, focusing on enhancing children's functional abilities in their home environments.
• Educate and train parents or caregivers on strategies to support their child's development and address specific challenges.
• Co-create and facilitate transdisciplinary early intervention-focused curriculum with a team of other therapists.
• Document and maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and any related administrative tasks.
• Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers to provide updates on their child's progress and involve them in goal-setting and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with other professionals to support students and share best practices
• Plan and lead community classes weekly
