Job summary

Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with IDD in an in-home setting in Prentiss, MS. You will support daily activities, provide emotional support, supervise community outings, and help implement treatment plans with clinical staff to improve quality of life.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, ability to obtain a MS CDL Class C within 60 days, and a valid MS driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain MS CDL Class C Driver's License within 60 days of hire.
• Valid Mississippi Driver's License with satisfactory driving record (no moving violations within 3 years).
• Will Pass CPR, MANDT, And Other Required Testing
• Experience working with the IDD population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs and daily activities.
• Provide emotional support to participants.
• Supervise community outings and transportation as needed.
• Support treatment plans in partnership with clinical staff.
• Train participants in skills and daily activities and document progress in day programs.
• Ensure on-site presence during workday and eat lunch with participants.
