Job summary

Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with IDD in home settings in Hattiesburg, MS. The role emphasizes daily living support, emotional encouragement, and coordination with clinical staff to improve quality of life.

The position is part-time with evening hours, requiring driving responsibilities and on-site shift coverage. Prior IDD experience is a plus and CPR/MANDT testing will be completed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain MS CDL Class C Driver's License within 60 days of hire.
• Valid Mississippi Driver's License with clean driving record (no moving violations in 3 years).
• Experience with IDD population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with ADLs and daily activities.
• Model appropriate behavior for participants.
• Provide transportation to facilities and community activities.
• Train participants in skills and daily activities, and document progress.
• Eat lunch on-site with participants and stay on-site during shift.
• Support community involvement and social interactions.
