Job summary

Opportunity Partners in Bloomington, MN seeks a Direct Support Professional for In-Home Services to help adults with disabilities live independently and participate in their communities. You may work full time or part time, with a schedule including weekday, evening, and weekend shifts.

You will assist with daily living activities, planning meals, attending medical appointments, and supporting community involvement, safety, and self-advocacy in the home setting. Wage is $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• A desire to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
• Work independently with a flexible schedule.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license to drive to people's homes.

Responsibilities

• Promote hobbies and recreational activities
• Assist with meal planning, grocery/personal shopping, & cooking
• Schedule and attend medical appointments
• Participate in team meetings & writing care plans
• Support & develop independent living skills
• Provide education & opportunities to problem solve with regards to safety skills, social interactions, and self-advocacy
