Job summary

Family Relief Resources LLC. seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide in-home care for a 12-year-old girl in SE Portland, OR. The DSP will assist with hygiene, daily routines, and engagement in age-appropriate activities, while promoting independence and safety.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, transporting to activities as needed, and collaborating with the family. A compassionate, patient, and reliable caregiver is essential, with flexibility for the schedule provided.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Pass a Criminal History Check.
• Work a minimum of 15 hours per month.
• CPR and First Aid Certificate (within 3 months of hire).
• State required online training courses (pre-hire and within 3 months of hire).
• Continuing Education (24 hours per year).
• Basic tech literacy including smartphone timekeeping and report submissions.
• Direct experience with children and/or adults with varying support needs.

Responsibilities

• Care for client in her home and accompany her to community activities.
• Support hygiene, self-care routines, and dressing as needed.
• Encourage independence with appropriate supervision.
• Assist with communication, social skills, and safety.
• Maintain documentation of shifts and progress notes; report quarterly updates.
