Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home and community-based support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Bethlehem, PA and surrounding areas.

Competitive pay of $18.00–$22.00 per hour, weekly pay, flexible scheduling including days, evenings, weekends and overnights, and benefits eligibility are offered along with training and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Background checks required; ability to pass.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Support community integration and participation in recreational activities.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Promote independence while ensuring safety and well-being.
• Document services and client progress accurately.
• Follow individualized care plans and behavioral support plans as needed.
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional relationship with clients and families.
