Job summary

Right at Home Long Beach is hiring Caregivers and Home Health Aids to support clients in their homes throughout Long Beach and nearby areas. Immediate openings include part-time and full-time roles with competitive pay and benefits.

You will perform personal care, light housework and meal prep, while providing companionship and dementia care. A valid CA HCA registration, TB test, LiveScan, and a driver’s license are required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Registered as a California Home Care Aide, or able to obtain.
• Current TB test and LiveScan fingerprinting.
• CPR certification recommended for caregivers.
• Must read/write/speak English well enough for patient care.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle for client visits.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) in home.
• Perform housekeeping tasks: cleaning, laundry, dishes, beds.
• Prepare meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompany to errands and appointments; provide transportation time.
• Provide dementia care and companionship activities.
• Assist with mobility and transfers as needed.
• Monitor and remind about medications if required.
