Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Registered as a California Home Care Aide.
• Current TB test.
• State and Federal LiveScan (Fingerprinting) required.
• CPR certification recommended.
• Meets requirements for employees providing direct patient care.
• Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living and transfers within the home.
• Perform housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, dishes, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Prepare meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompany clients to errands or medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with prescribed range of motion exercises.
• Dementia care and companionship activities.
