Job summary

Palms-Home-Care is seeking a reliable Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide in-home therapy under supervision. You will assist patients with ADLs, implement therapeutic exercises, and educate families on home exercise programs and safety.

Documentation must align with Medicare/home health guidelines and you will coordinate with the supervising OT. Requirements include an accredited OTA program, active Florida COTA license, CPR certification, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active Florida COTA license.
• CPR certification valid.
• Familiar with EHR such as Kinnser.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Assist patients with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Implement therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, coordination, and mobility.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies.
• Accurately document patient visits in accordance with Medicare and home health guidelines.
• Communicate patient progress and concerns to supervising OT and interdisciplinary team.
