Job summary

MaineTouch is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide in-home support and personal care services to adults and seniors. CNAs promote comfort, safety, and independence in clients' homes with one-on-one care and supportive team backup.

This role emphasizes flexible scheduling (full-time and part-time), ongoing supervision, and opportunities for advancement (CRMA, CNA-M, LPN, Nursing pathways). Mileage reimbursement is available where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active Maine CNA license required.
• 18 years of age or older required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must not appear on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting and hygiene.
• Provide mobility assistance including transfers, ambulation, and use of assistive devices.
• Measure and document vital signs and basic health observations as directed.
• Support daily care tasks such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed linen changes, and meal preparation.
• Assist with meal service and feeding when needed.
• Offer companionship and emotional support while encouraging client independence.
• Monitor client condition and promptly report concerns to nursing or supervisory staff.
• Identify and report safety risks or environmental concerns.
• Perform only tasks within CNA scope of practice and the care plan.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on schedule.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions; maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and report incidents immediately.
• Treat all clients with respect, dignity and professionalism.
