Job summary

Care to Stay Home is seeking dedicated caregivers to support older adults at home in Cheney, WA. You will assist with daily living activities, meal preparation, medication reminders, and companionship, ensuring safety and comfort for clients in their own homes.

The role emphasizes compassionate communication, privacy, and teamwork with a client-centered approach. Experience in home care or CNA is preferred; CPR/First Aid certification is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Experience as caregiver, home care aide, PCA, or CNA preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to perform housekeeping, meal prep, and safe supervision.
• Clear, compassionate communication and respect for client privacy.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and dignity support (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility).
• Prepare healthy meals and keep living areas clean and organized.
• Provide timely reminders for medications and monitor well-being.
• Offer active companionship: conversation, games, walks, errands.
• Assist with light exercise as directed by professionals.
