Job summary

Family Resource Home Care in Portland East is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers to serve the greater Portland area. The role emphasizes driving to client visits, assisting with daily living activities, and providing companionship.

We offer paid training, mileage reimbursement, and flexible hours; you will join a supportive team that prioritizes client well-being and caregiver growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 10 lbs and up to 50 lbs.
• Must own a smartphone with a compatible app.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass state and national background checks.
• Must be able to transport clients in own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.).
• Cooking and/or serving meals.
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom.
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies.
• Driving clients to store or appointments as needed.
• Monitoring and reporting on client condition.
• Assisting with other activities of daily living as assigned.

Family Resource Home Care - Portland East Location

Serving the greater Portland Metro area across Multnomah and Clackamas Counties, including Clackamas, Happy Valley, Troutdale, Gresham, Gladstone, Milwaukee, N Portland, NE Portland, SE Portland, Canby, Molalla, and Fairview

Pay Range: $21 - $23.50/hr. + paid training and milage reimbursement

Current needs

• Monday through Friday (between the hours of 8 AM - 8 PM)
• The more availability you have the more opportunities to pick up shifts. Part time also available
• Caregivers with experience in Hoyer's, Memory Care and Behavioral, a plus OR willing to train
• Caregivers comfortable with pets and smokers in home!
• 18 years+
• Ability to lift a minimum of 10lbs and up to 50lb rarely.
• Must own a smart phone with capabilities to download and use a mobile app.
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record to get to client visits
• Able to transport clients in their own vehicle required

Caregiver Job Duties

Additional Information

• Oregon only - If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!
