Job summary

Family Resource Home Care is seeking compassionate caregivers to support clients in the Portland East area. This in-home role offers flexible scheduling and weekly pay with training opportunities.

You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, and transport clients as needed while ensuring safety and dignity. Ideal candidates have caregiving experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or home care settings.
• Must pass state and national background checks.
• Must own a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
• Comfortable transporting clients in their own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meals.
• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and daily activities.
• Provide companionship and engage in daily hobbies.
• Drive clients to store or appointments as needed.
• Monitor client condition and report changes to supervisors.
• Support clients with mobility and safety at home.

Family Resource Home Care - Portland East Location

Serving the greater Portland Metro area across Multnomah and Clackamas Counties, including Clackamas, Happy Valley, Troutdale, Gresham, Gladstone, Milwaukee, N Portland, NE Portland, SE Portland, Canby, Molalla, and Fairview

Pay Range: $21 - $23.50/hr. + paid training and milage reimbursement

Current needs

• Monday through Friday (between the hours of 8 AM - 8 PM)
• The more availability you have the more opportunities to pick up shifts. Part time also available
• Caregivers with experience in Hoyer's, Memory Care and Behavioral, a plus OR willing to train
• Caregivers comfortable with pets and smokers in home!
• 18 years+
• Ability to lift a minimum of 10lbs and up to 50lb rarely.
• Must own a smart phone with capabilities to download and use a mobile app.
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record to get to client visits
• Able to transport clients in their own vehicle required

Caregiver Job Duties

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Driving clients (as needed) to the store or appointments
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition
• Other activities of daily living as assigned

Additional Information

• Oregon only – If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!
