Job summary

Family Resource Home Care – Portland East Location is seeking compassionate caregivers to support clients in the greater Portland area. This role offers flexible shifts with part-time opportunities and weekly pay, plus paid training and mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities include light household tasks, meal preparation, bathing and grooming support, companionship, transport to appointments, and reporting on client condition. A valid driver’s license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must own a smartphone and be able to use a mobile app.
• Must pass a state and national background check.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and clean driving record.
• Able to transport clients in their own vehicle.
• Caregivers with experience in Hoyer's, Memory Care or Behavioral care, or willing to train.
• Able to lift 10–50 lbs.
• Availability Monday–Friday 8 AM–8 PM; part-time also available.

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.).
• Cooking and/or serving meals.
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom.
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies.
• Driving clients to the store or appointments as needed.
• Monitoring and reporting on client condition.
• Other activities of daily living as assigned.

Family Resource Home Care - Portland East Location

Serving the greater Portland Metro area across Multnomah and Clackamas Counties, including Clackamas, Happy Valley, Troutdale, Gresham, Gladstone, Milwaukee, N Portland, NE Portland, SE Portland, Canby, Molalla, and Fairview

Pay Range: $21 - $23.50/hr. + paid training and milage reimbursement

Current needs

• Monday through Friday (between the hours of 8 AM - 8 PM)
• The more availability you have the more opportunities to pick up shifts. Part time also available
• Caregivers with experience in Hoyer's, Memory Care and Behavioral, a plus OR willing to train
• Caregivers comfortable with pets and smokers in home!
• 18 years+
• Ability to lift a minimum of 10lbs and up to 50lb rarely.
• Must own a smart phone with capabilities to download and use a mobile app.
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record to get to client visits
• Able to transport clients in their own vehicle required

Additional Information

• Oregon only – If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!
