Job summary

Family Resource Home Care is seeking caregivers for our Hillsboro-area clients. This role offers flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and paid mileage. You’ll deliver hands-on care, transportation, and companionship to meet clients’ daily needs.

Positions include daytime shifts with opportunities for weekend work. Training is provided; prior caregiving experience is a plus and state-required trainings may be required depending on location.

Qualifications

• Caregiving experience or ability to learn hands-on care tasks.
• Comfort with lifting up to 50 lb and assisting with daily activities.
• Ability to pass a state and national background check.
• Must own a smartphone to use our mobile app.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Perform household chores, meal prep, and cleanup as needed.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Transport clients in their vehicle to appointments or shopping; paid mileage applies.
• Monitor and report on clients' condition and needs.

Current Needs

• Monday through Friday 8a-6:30p Shift examples: 8 a - 4 pm, 9 a - 5 pm, 10 a - 6:30 pm.
• Weekend shifts available as well (day shifts only - 8 am - 6:30 pm)
• Clients/shifts available in Forest Grove, Banks and Cornelius, Aloha and Hillsboro as well as St Helens, Scappoose, Rainer, Vernonia, Clatskanie and Sauvie Island!
• Caregivers who are willing to provide hands on care to clients - dressing, bathing, grooming, etc.
• Caregivers willing and able to transport client in their vehicle to appointments or grocery shopping + we offer paid mileage

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Driving clients (as needed) to the store or appointments
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition
• Additional Information
• Washington only - If you do not have a current HCA or CNA license, you will be required to enroll in our HCA training program we offer (due to state requirements). You will be able to complete the training while working and will have 120 days to complete it.
• Oregon only - If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!

Requirements

• 18 years+
• Ability to lift a minimum of 10lbs and up to 50lb rarely.
• Must own a smart phone with capabilities to download and use a mobile app.
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance and clean driving record
• Ability to complete state-required caregiver/HCA training as needed
