Senior Helpers is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide one-on-one care for clients in the Pittsburgh area. The role favors someone who enjoys building meaningful connections and has experience with dementia.

The position follows a consistent weekday morning schedule with afternoon shifts starting at 12:00 PM. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, providing companionship, helping with meals and light housekeeping, and arranging transportation to appointments or social events.

Qualifications

• At least 3–6 months of professional or personal experience in home care, caregiving, or related field (Required)
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation (Required)
• Must be at least 18 years old (Required)
• Negative results of either a TB test (2-Step TB) or TB QuantiFERON Gold Blood Test (Required)
• Experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, home health, medical assistance or nursing assistance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing/grooming, toileting/incontinence care, bathing, and mobility support
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities
• Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands
• Offer transportation and accompany clients to appointments, outings, or social events
• Monitor clients' overall well-being and report any concerns
• Maintain a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor at all times
