Job summary

Senior Helpers in the Kittanning area is seeking a compassionate caregiver for one-on-one client support. The role emphasizes a consistent weekday morning schedule with afternoon shifts starting at 12:00 PM and requires experience with dementia care.

You will assist with ADLs, provide companionship, help with meals and light housekeeping, and arrange transportation to appointments or social activities. A warm, professional demeanor is essential to support client wellbeing.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months experience in home care or caregiving is required.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass TB testing.
• Healthcare or nursing assistance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs and mobility, dressing, grooming, toileting and bathing.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
• Assist with meals, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Provide transportation to appointments, outings, or events.
• Monitor wellbeing and report concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain a warm, professional demeanor at all times.

Senior Helpers is seeking a compassionate and dependable caregiver to provide one-on-one care for clients in the Kittanning area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building meaningful connections and prefers a consistent weekday morning schedule and who has experience working with Dementia clients.

Schedule

• Afternoon shifts (starting 12:00 PM)
• Weekdays

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing/grooming, toileting/incontinence care, bathing, and mobility support
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities
• Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands
• Offer transportation and accompany clients to appointments, outings, or social events
• Monitor clients' overall well-being and report any concerns
• Maintain a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor at all times

Qualifications

• At least 3-6 months of professional or personal experience in home care, caregiving, or related field (Required)
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation (Required)
• Must be at least 18 years old (Required)
• Negative results of either a 2-Step TB Test or TB QuantiFERON Gold Blood Test (Required)
• Experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, home health, medical assistance or nursing assistance is a plus.
