Job summary

Visiting Angels in South Carolina is seeking compassionate in‑home caregivers to support clients in Charleston, Dorchester, Berkeley counties and surrounding areas. You will assist with mobility, personal care, medication reminders, meal preparation, transportation, and friendly companionship in clients’ homes.

Flexible scheduling with 4–12 hour shifts is available, and no CNA license is required. A high school diploma, a valid driver’s license with insurance, and excellent communication are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle, insurance; commuting required.
• Must adhere to plans of care for client.
• Flexibility with schedules per client needs.
• One year of in‑home caregiver experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and active listening with clients, families and staff.
• Able to stay calm in emergent situations and inform staff of changes to client status.
• Pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Medication reminders.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions.
• Provide transportation to and from shops, pharmacy or appointments.
• Perform light housekeeping duties for the client.
• Be a pleasant, engaging, and supportive companion.

• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• No CNA License Required!
