Job summary

AAA Advantage Home Care in Stevensville, MI is hiring in-home caregivers to support elderly or disabled family members. This role offers compensation for caregiving work with pay starting at $17.50 per hour and no prior certification or experience required.

You will assist with daily activities, prepare meals, keep the home safe and comfortable, and provide companionship while coordinating with healthcare professionals and other family members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (caregiving training or certification is a plus)
• Understanding of the challenges, both physical and emotional, that come with caregiving
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient personality
• Able to stay calm in stressful moments and maintain confidentiality
• Basic first aid and CPR knowledge is a bonus

Responsibilities

• Help your loved one with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and using the restroom
• Prepare nourishing meals and offer feeding assistance when necessary
• Keep their living space clean, safe, and comfortable
• Be a steady source of companionship and emotional encouragement
• Notice and share any changes in their health or mood with healthcare professionals
• Work together with other family members and care providers to ensure they receive the best possible support
