We Don't Hire Caregivers to Fill Shifts.
We Hire Care Professionals Who Help Create a Better What’s Next.
At Home Instead of the Black Hills, we believe getting older doesn’t mean life stops.
Aging adults deserve the opportunity to continue living life the way they envision it in the place they know and love most: Home.
That’s where our Care Pros come in.
Every day, Care Pros help aging adults remain safe, independent, comfortable, and connected. Sometimes that means helping with personal care or preparing a meal. Sometimes it means noticing that something isn’t quite right and speaking up. And sometimes it means sitting down, listening, and having a conversation with someone who needs the company.
The impact reaches beyond the person receiving care. It provides peace of mind for families and helps create a better What’s Next for everyone involved.
Caregiving is meaningful work.
We also know it isn’t always easy.
Through nearly 750,000 hours of care, we’ve seen the difference a great Care Pro can make. We’ve also seen the challenges that come with caring for another person.
We believe the people providing care deserve support, too.
Whether you have served others for years or are just starting out, if you need to know something to do your job well, we’ll teach you.
People need care at all hours of the day, every day of the year. Tell us the days and timeframes you’re consistently available, and we’ll work to match you with clients who need care during those times.
You’re not expected to figure everything out alone. If it’s 2:15 AM on a Sunday and you need help, all you need to do is call.
You care for a living. Take time to care for yourself, too.
As you reliably show up and care for clients, you’ll build an additional reserve fund alongside your regular wages that can provide extra support when times get tough.
As a Care Pro, you’ll provide non-medical support based on each client’s individual needs, including:
No two clients are exactly alike, and no two days of caregiving look exactly the same.
What remains the same is the opportunity to help another person maintain their dignity, independence, connection, and comfort at home.
A great Care Pro isn’t defined by a license or certification.
A great Care Pro is defined by the choices they make every day.
You may thrive on our team if you:
CNA or caregiving experience is absolutely welcome, but it isn’t required.
If this sounds like the way you already approach people and the commitments you make, we’d like to meet you.
To get started, you’ll need:
If you have the heart, we’ll help with the rest.
We’re looking for people who want to show up, build relationships, keep learning, and make a difference for the person in front of them.
In return, we’ll work to make sure you have the training, support, and people behind you to do it well.
