Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Lakeville, MN is seeking compassionate Caregivers to support adults in their homes across Lakeville and nearby communities such as Apple Valley, Farmington, Eagan, and Prior Lake.

You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, help with medications and transportation, and use your smartphone to view care plans and report tasks. Flexible 4-hour shifts and weekend opportunities available, with competitive pay of $18–$21 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience as a caregiver for adults or nursing assistant training (or equivalent).
• Ability to pass background, driving, and TB screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist male and female clients with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs as directed.
• Assist with mobility and transfers.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with meal prep and feeding.
• Light housekeeping including laundry and tidying.
• Drive clients to appointments or outings.
• Use smartphone to view care plans and document tasks.

As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to individuals in need.

Are you looking for short shifts when your kids are in school? We're seeking caregivers who available to work 4 hour-shifts between the hours of 9am and 3 pm.

We also are urgently hiring a caregiver for a client in Eagan from 11-3pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Essential Duties:

• Assist male and female clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

• Administer medications and monitor vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals

• Assistwith mobility and transfers

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients

• Assistwith meal preparation and feeding

• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying up living spaces

• Drive clients to appointments or social outings

• Implement behavior management techniques as needed

• Utilize your smart phone to send texts and emails and to download and use apps to view care plans and record tasks and to send texts and emails

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U. S.

• Experience as a caregiver for adults or nursingassistancetraining (or equivalent)

• Have a valid Driver’s License and an active Auto Insurance

• Ability to pass background checks, motor vehicle record check, reference checks, and TB screening

• Willing to drive personal vehicle for client transportation with mileage reimbursement

• Willing to do personal cares for both males and females

• Ableto lift 25 pounds and transfer clients

• Ability to read,comprehend, and clearly speak English

• Possess and use a smartphone, which includes sending texts and emails,downloadingand using Apps, and completing online training

• Able to function in a home setting with minimal direct supervision

• High moral standards of honesty and integrity

• Engage clients in activities of interest

• Follow care plans and accurately document tasks

• If wecan’tfind shifts nearby your home, be willing to drive up to 25 miles to a shift

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in assisted living, in-home care, long-term care,or nursing home

• Dementia careand medication administration experience

• Skilled in personal cares such as bathing/showering/sponge baths, gait belt/transfers, toileting assistance, dressing/grooming

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and familiarity with client rights and home care practices
