Comfort Keepers is seeking compassionate caregivers to support seniors in Eden Prairie and nearby areas like Shakopee, Hopkins, Edina, Minnetonka, and Chaska. You will assist with ADLs, transfers, meal prep, and transportation, while providing companionship and monitoring health signals.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Experience as a caregiver for adults or nursing assistant training (or equivalent).
• Able to pass a background check and TB screening.
• Willing to drive personal vehicle for client transportation.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds and performing personal cares.
• Must read and speak English clearly.
• Able to use a smartphone to communicate and access care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs as directed by professionals.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and transportation to appointments.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding; light housekeeping.
• Drive clients to social outings and appointments; document tasks.

As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to individuals in need.

Essential Duties:

• Assist male and female clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals
• Assistwith mobility and transfers
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Assistwith meal preparation and feeding
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying up living spaces
• Drive clients to appointments or social outings
• Implement behavior management techniques as needed
• Utilizeyour smart phone to send texts and emails and to download and use apps to view care plans and record tasks and to send texts and emails

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years old
• Experience as a caregiver for adults or nursingassistancetraining (or equivalent) - Valid Driver's License and active Auto Insurance
• Able to pass a background check
• Willing to drive personal vehicle for client transportation
• Willing to do personal cares for males and females
• Capable of lifting upto 25 pounds
• Ability to read, comprehend and clearly speak English
• Possess and use a smartphone, which includes sending texts and emails, downloading and using Apps, and completing online training
• Able to function in a home setting with minimal direct supervision
• High moral standards of honesty and integrity
• Ability to pass background checks, motor vehicle record check, reference checks, and TB screening
• Engage clients in activities of interest
• Follow care plans and accurately document tasks
• Willing to drive up to 25 miles to a shift

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in in-home care, long-term care, assisted living, dementia care, or nursing homes
• Skilled in personal cares such as bathing/showering/sponge baths, gait belt/transfers, toileting assistance, dressing/grooming
• Medication administration experience
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulationsand familiarity with client rights and home care practices
