Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking an in-home caregiver in the Brainerd Lakes area to help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. The role includes ADL support, light housekeeping, meal prep, companionship, mobility assistance, medication help, and dementia care.

Wage starts at $18/hr, $20/hr for Certified Nursing Assistants, with eligibility for free CNA classes after 5 months. Part-time and full-time options available; company offers PTO accrual and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation, clean driving record, 3 years driving experience.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance and comfortable driving.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence, Professional Boundaries required.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living.
• Hands-on personal cares may include assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping includes cleaning bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, linen change, vacuuming, laundry, garbage etc.
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Conversation and companionship.
• Interactive Caregiving.
• Assistance with mobility that may include use of transfer tools/equipment.
• Assistance with medication.
• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares.
