Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Brainerd Lakes area is hiring an in-home caregiver. You will help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes with tasks from ADLs to companionship.

The role offers part-time or full-time hours with competitive starting pay and potential higher rate for CNAs. Responsibilities include personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, mobility assistance, medication support, and clear electronic documentation of each shift.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation with clean driving record and auto insurance.
• DHS background clearance.
• Customer service excellence and professional boundaries required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living.
• Provide personal care including dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping and chores in the home.
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Provide companionship and conversation.
• Assist with mobility and transfer tools/equipment.
• Assist with medications as needed.
• Dementia or Alzheimer's care as required.
• Document care electronically after each shift.

Comfort Keepers is now hiring an in home caregiver for the Brainerd Lakes area!

Wage begins at $18 an hour unless Certified Nursing Assistant then $20 an hour. Eligible after 5 months of employment for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy.

Part time and full-time hours available depending on your availability.

About the Job

As an in-home caregiver, you will clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Responsibilities may include:

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living.
• Hands-on personal cares may include assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping includes cleaning bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, linen change, vacuuming, laundry, garbage etc.
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Conversation and companionship.
• Interactive Caregiving.
• Assistance with mobility that may include use of transfer tools/equipment.
• Assistance with medication.
• Dementia or Alzheimer's care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares.

Comfort Keepers Requirements

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation, clean driving record, 3 years driving experience.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance and comfortable driving.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence, Professional Boundaries required.
