Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Howard Lake area is hiring a caregiver to help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home. Responsibilities include ADL assistance, mobility support, light housekeeping, meal prep, companionship, medication assistance, and proper electronic documentation.

We offer wage starting at $18/hour (CNA $20), eligibility for free CNA classes after 5 months, and both part-time and full-time schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation, clean driving record, 3 years driving experience.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance and comfortable driving.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence, Professional Boundaries required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living.
• Provide hands-on personal care (dressing, grooming, hygiene).
• Light housekeeping (cleaning, laundry, tidying).
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Offer conversation and companionship.
• Interactive Caregiving and mobility support.
• Assist with medications as needed.
• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator.
• Document care electronically.

Comfort Keepers is now hiring a caregiver for the Howard Lake area! Wage begins at $18 an hour unless Certified Nursing Assistant then $20 an hour. Eligible after 5 months of employment for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy. Part time and full-time hours available depending on your availability.

About The Job

As an in-home caregiver, you will clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Responsibilities may include:

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living.
• Hands-on personal cares may include assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping includes cleaning bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, linen change, vacuuming, laundry, garbage etc.
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Conversation and companionship.
• Interactive Caregiving.
• Assistance with mobility that may include use of transfer tools/equipment.
• Assistance with medication.
• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares.
