Job summary

Comfort Keepers #581 is hiring an in-home caregiver in the Howard Lake area. Wage starts at $18/hour, $20/hour with CNA certification. Eligible after 5 months for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy. Part-time and full-time hours available based on your schedule.

As a caregiver, you’ll help clients stay safe, comfortable and independent at home, performing ADLs, mobility support, meal prep, companionship and light housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• Own reliable transportation with clean driving record.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence, Professional Boundaries required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living.
• Dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene support.
• Light housekeeping including cleaning, laundry, and meal prep.
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Conversation and companionship.
• Interactive Caregiving and mobility assistance with transfer tools.
• Assist with medication and dementia care.
• Document shifts and cares electronically.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.

About the Job

As an in-home caregiver, you will clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Responsibilities may include:

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living.
• Hands-on personal cares may include assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping includes cleaning bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, linen change, vacuuming, laundry, garbage etc.
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Conversation and companionship.
• Interactive Caregiving.
• Assistance with mobility that may include use of transfer tools/equipment.
• Assistance with medication.
• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares.

Comfort Keepers Requirements

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation, clean driving record, 3 years driving experience.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance and comfortable driving.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence, Professional Boundaries required.
