Job summary

Comfort Keepers is hiring an in-home caregiver for the Brainerd Lakes area to help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Wage begins at $18 per hour, with $20 per hour for Certified Nursing Assistants. After 5 months of employment, employees are eligible for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy.

Part-time and full-time hours are available based on your availability. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, mobility, medication, meal prep, light housekeeping,

Qualifications

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation with clean driving record and 3 years driving experience.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• DHS background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living.
• Hands-on personal cares (dressing, grooming, incontinence, hygiene).
• Light housekeeping (cleaning, laundry, tidying).
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Conversation and companionship; interactive caregiving.
• Assistance with mobility using transfer tools/equipment.
• Assistance with medication.
• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift and cares.
