Job summary

Visiting Angels Amarillo is seeking a compassionate In Home Patient Care Assistant - PCA to support clients in home and community settings across the Amarillo area. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health, and help maintain safety and comfort for seniors and individuals with memory concerns.

Ideal candidates have caregiving experience, knowledge of first aid and CPR, and a patient, team-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in home health, hospice, or similar caregiving settings.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques.
• Familiarity with patient monitoring and vital sign assessment.
• Ability to follow care plans and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Monitor health status and vital signs, report changes to healthcare professionals.
• Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs as prescribed.
• Maintain clean and safe environment and assist with light housekeeping.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Engage clients in activities to promote mental stimulation and well-being.
