Visiting Angels Abilene is hiring a Patient Care Assistant to provide compassionate in-home care for seniors in the Big Country area. You will assist with daily activities, mobility, meals, and transportation while fostering a safe and respectful home environment.

Opportunities for advanced training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care are available to help you grow your caregiving skills within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others and be a true caregiver.
• Strong knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Experience with housekeeping and dietary considerations.

• Respectful, compassionate and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medications as directed.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility around home or on outings.
• Support personal care and hygiene needs.
• Assist with routine exercises and activities.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input when possible.
• Errands and light shopping as needed for clients.
• Perform light housekeeping and companionship.
• Report unusual incidents promptly.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
