Qualifications

• Candidates should have caregiving experience in home health, hospice, or related fields.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for client support.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide patient care by monitoring vital signs and observing changes in health or behavior.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
• Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for transferring clients safely.
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding any concerns or changes in client status.
