Job summary

Smart Appliance Repair is seeking a skilled Appliance Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and commercial appliances. The role includes in-home service, documenting repairs, and advising customers on best practices to ensure high-quality results.

The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical and refrigeration systems, a clean driving record, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Proven experience as an appliance repair technician or similar role.
Knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
EPA certification (preferred but not required).
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to lift heavy appliances and work in various residential settings.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with appliances.
Perform repairs and part replacements on major household appliances.
Accurately document service calls, repair details, and parts used.
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding repairs and recommendations.
Maintain and manage a service vehicle, tools, and inventory.
Follow safety procedures and protocols at all times.
Keep up to date with appliance technology and repair techniques.
