Job summary

Sears is seeking an in-home service technician to repair a range of home appliances directly at customers’ homes, including washers, dryers, stoves, microwaves and dishwashers.

The role emphasizes timely repairs, high-quality customer service, and promoting additional products or services while meeting performance goals. Flexibility for variable hours and ability to use diagnostic tools are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and strong time management to ensure fast, flexible service.
• Must be organized and capable of following processes for quality workmanship.
• Mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair products in customers’ homes for washers, dryers, stoves, microwaves, dishwashers, trash compactors, garbage disposers, and other appliances.
• Provide timely, high-quality repairs and excellent customer service.
• Promote and sell additional products and services when appropriate.
• Meet performance metrics and productivity goals.
• Keep customer informed about repair status and benefits of Value Added Services.
