Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking an Appliance Service Technician in Kennett Square, DE to diagnose and repair GE appliances in customers’ homes. You will prioritize cost-effective repairs, promote service contracts and accessories, and operate a Bodewell service van.

You will document repairs, participate in training, manage inventory, and deliver high-quality service with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of appliance repair, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or property maintenance experience.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing major appliances.
• Strong customer service and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete in-home repairs on GE Appliances' major appliances.
• Recommend repairs vs replacement based on cost-effectiveness and customer needs.
• Promote and sell service contracts, water filters, and related products.
• Operate the Bodewell service van at customer locations.
• Accurately document repairs, routes, and work activities.
• Participate in training sessions, meetings, and events to maintain expertise.
• Manage inventory and maintenance of the service vehicle.
• Deliver high-quality service and maintain customer satisfaction.
