Job summary

High Five Cares is seeking a compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work one-on-one with a child in their home in Brooklyn, NY. The role involves delivering ABA-based interventions with a weekly schedule of 15 hours and a flexible after-school timetable.

The ideal candidate holds RBT certification, has experience with autism, and can maintain detailed progress data under supervision by a BCBA. This part-time position offers meaningful work and collaborative support.

Qualifications

• RBT certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; related field degree preferred.
• Experience with children with autism or other developmental disabilities.
• Strong understanding of ABA principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation to and from the family’s home in Brooklyn.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavioral plans and strategies to support the child’s skill development and behavioral reduction goals.
• Conduct daily sessions with the child, focusing on skill-building, socialization, and behavioral support.
• Collect and record data on the child’s progress, communicating regularly with the supervising BCBA.
• Collaborate with the child’s family and other support staff to ensure consistency and generalization of skills.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for the child.
