Job summary

Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis seeks a Behavior Interventionist to provide one-on-one ABA therapy for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities in home, school, and community settings, using positive-only methods and data-driven progress tracking.

You will receive paid, hands-on training and shadowing with a supervisor. Growth opportunities are frequent and encouraged; full-time or part-time options available across the Greater Los Angeles Area & SFV.

Qualifications

• US work authorization.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Negative TB test results.
• Reliable computer and internet access daily.
• CA driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
• Willingness to drive throughout SFV area.
• Interest and enthusiasm for working with children and adolescents.
• Patience and empathy for addressing challenging behaviors.
• Commitment to positive-only method and ethics.
• Reliable daily dedication to clients.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one direct ABA therapy sessions in school or home.
• Assist the client throughout the day with academic and daily living tasks.
• Teach adaptive play, self-care, cognitive, social, and communication skills.
• Encourage desired behaviors with positive reinforcement.
• Data collection and analysis to track client progress.
• Ensure a safe, encouraging environment for kids and teens.
• Advocate for individuals with disabilities in all settings.
• Uphold the highest standard of ethical practices.
