Job summary

Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis seeks a Behavior Interventionist to deliver one-on-one ABA therapy in home and school settings within Greater Los Angeles and SFV. You will implement evidence-based plans, support clients’ daily living and communication skills, and reinforce positive behaviors.

Training, supervision opportunities, and growth paths are provided. The role requires US work authorization, background checks, and willingness to drive across SFV.

Qualifications

• US work authorization required.
• Background check required.
• TB test results negative.
• Reliable computer and internet access daily.
• CA driver’s license & proof of auto insurance; willingness to drive SFV area.
• Interest and enthusiasm for working with children & adolescents, including play.
• Patience and empathy addressing challenging behaviors.
• Commitment to positive-only method and ethics.
• Reliability and dedication to daily client work.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and engage in active play.
• Willingness to work with clients of all ages (2–23) and various support needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one ABA therapy sessions in home or school.
• Assist client with academics & daily living tasks.
• Teach adaptive play, self-care, cognitive, social, and communication skills.
• Encourage desired behaviors using positive reinforcement.
• Collect and analyze data to track progress.
• Provide a safe, encouraging environment.
• Advocate for individuals with disabilities in all settings.
• Uphold high ethical standards.
