Job summary

GCS Recruitment Specialists seeks an Embedded Linux engineer to design and maintain onboard networking solutions for airline Wi‑Fi systems. You will work across middleware layers, authentication services, and data traffic management to ensure reliable passenger connectivity.

The role requires experience with embedded Linux, middleware development, and strong networking knowledge including IP protocols and WLAN technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience with Embedded Linux and middleware development is required.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and IP protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS).
• Familiarity with WLAN/Wi-Fi tech and network authentication/ connectivity management.

Responsibilities

• Manage onboard Wi-Fi and network infrastructure.
• Handle network authentication for passenger internet access using ticket/flight data.
• Control internet access, bandwidth allocation, and connectivity for all passengers onboard.
• Support services like web browsing, messaging, OTA updates, and streaming.
• Work on the middleware layer between applications and network infrastructure.
• Manage network-related apps, authentication services and data traffic across the aircraft network.
• Work with VLAN, WLAN, IP-based networking and network protocols.
• Develop and support solutions on Embedded Linux platforms.
• Ensure reliable connectivity between onboard systems and external internet services.
