Jefferson University Physicians in Delaware is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians with examinations, patient flow, and vitals. The role includes performing EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and thorough documentation to ensure quality patient care.

You will maintain supplies and assist with IT system documentation while adhering to HIPAA rules. A HS diploma, MA certification within 6 months, and BLS within 90 days are required; prior physician office experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with Jefferson values.
• Escorts patients to exam rooms and ensures proper identification.
• Performs and documents vital signs, medical history, and care quality measures.
• Maintains information systems documentation within scope of practice.
• Assists physicians with examinations and diagnostic procedures, including EKG and venipuncture/injections.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Orders clinical supplies to maintain inventory and facilitate office operations.
