Job summary

DCC Vollmer is seeking a Patient Care Tech - In Center in Chicago Heights, IL. This full-time role supports dialysis patients, performs vital tasks, and works under RN supervision to ensure safe, quality care.

A strong emphasis on teamwork, accuracy, and patient communication is essential. Key duties include operating dialysis equipment, monitoring vitals, assisting with cannulation and catheter care where allowed by state law, completing training modules, and maintaining infection prevention

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of High School diploma or GED.
• Current CCHT, Bonent or State required certificate if experienced.
• CCHT, Bonent or State required certificate within 18 months per CMS regulations.
• Current CPR card if experienced or within 3 weeks of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Entering prescribed treatment into the dialysis machine and setting up equipment.
• Monitors patient vitals and records measurements.
• Assist with cannulation and catheter care where allowed by state law.
• Observe machines and alarms, ensuring patient safety throughout treatment.
• Participates in training and continuing education modules.
• Communicates emergencies to RN and documents observations.
