Job summary

Communication Technology Services (CTS) is seeking an RF Design Engineer to support the Southern California region and the Southwest region (AZ, NM, NV). The role focuses on designing in-building wireless systems, DAS and small cells to meet carrier requirements and KPIs.

You will develop RF designs, perform propagation analyses with iBwave, Atoll or Planet, and ensure compliance with carrier standards. The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of RF design experience and a strong foundation in RF

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering.
• 3–7 years of RF design experience for in-building wireless systems.
• Strong RF fundamentals: propagation, interference, and performance metrics.
• Experience with iBwave, Atoll, Planet or equivalent tools.
• Experience designing to major wireless carrier standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop RF designs for in-building DAS and small cell networks to meet coverage and capacity targets.
• Perform RF modeling and propagation analysis with standard tools.
• Design antenna layouts, distribution architectures, and equipment selections.
• Validate performance against KPIs like RSSI/RSRP, SINR and throughput.
• Support troubleshooting and optimization for system performance.
