Job summary

Communication Technology Services (CTS) is seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer to support the Southern California region and the Southwest. You will develop RF system designs for in-building wireless, perform RF modeling with tools like iBwave, Atoll, and Planet, and ensure designs meet carrier KPIs and regulatory requirements.

The role covers design validation, data management in carrier databases, and collaboration with sales engineering to deliver cost-effective wireless solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE, telecommunications, or related field.
• 3–7 years RF design experience for in-building wireless, DAS, or small cell.
• Experience with RF design tools (iBwave/Atoll/Planet) and carrier standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop RF designs for in-building DAS and small cells to meet coverage and capacity.
• Validate designs against RSSI/RSRP, SINR, throughput targets.
• Maintain RF design data in carrier databases and document revisions.
• Support sales engineering and pre-sales activities with technical proposals.
• Prepare design packages and as-built documentation.
