Job summary

Old Second National Bank is seeking a Teller to deliver frontline customer service and handle routine banking transactions in a fast-paced environment. You will balance a cash drawer, provide referrals to Retail Banking, and adhere to bank policies and procedures.

The role requires strong communication, accuracy in cash handling, and the ability to work onsite with regular branch hours, including Saturdays. Training and sales referrals are part of the position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of related experience (cash handling, customer service, office, etc.).
• Onsite position with hours: Mon–Fri 8:30am–5:30pm, Sat 8:30am–1:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality, personalized customer service, greeting/closing customers and using customer name.
• Processes deposits/withdrawals per policy, ensuring proper endorsement, valid ID, and funds availability.
• Handles payments and orders such as loan payments, tax payments, money orders, and cashier's checks.
• Counts, proves, and packages currency; balances cash drawer and researches differences.
• Uses technology to complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Meets sales referral goals through branch-based activities.
• Participates in in-house training on sales, service, compliance, product knowledge and systems.
• Able to float to other branches and adjust to scheduling needs.
