Job summary

Meritrust Credit Union in Boulder, CO seeks an Entry Level Member Consultant to deliver an exceptional in-branch experience. You will process transactions, educate members on credit union products, and fulfill service requests to meet financial needs.

With a High School diploma and 2+ years in retail or customer service, you’ll identify opportunities to simplify members’ financial lives and refer them to appropriate solutions, while staying compliant and accurate.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a retail or customer service environment.
• Knowledge of financial products and services offered by credit unions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish new member relationships and open appropriate consumer and deposit accounts based on financial needs.
• Retain and build existing member relationships using a consultative approach and advise on relevant products and services.
• Provide account servicing and maintenance and assist with problem resolution for members; transition to remote service for complex transactions as needed.
• Promote self-service banking options (online banking, mobile banking) to members.
• Identify qualified referrals and transition members to appropriate referral partners (investments, mortgage, etc.).
