Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA is seeking an IMU Development Program Manager to lead complex inertial system programs from strategy through execution. You will collaborate with industry partners to mature key technologies and integrate them with electro-mechanical and sensor subsystems across all lifecycle phases.

The role requires 7+ years of PM experience in commercial or defense industries, a bachelor’s in engineering/CS/business, and ability to travel. Government security clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, or related technical field preferred.
• 7+ years of professional experience in project/program management in commercial or defense industry.

Responsibilities

• Own overall program execution, including cost, schedule, and technical performance targets.
• Establish program performance baselines and develop/update resource plans.
• Recruit, retain and develop key talent for the program.
• Manage all phases of projects from inception through completion.
• Act as primary customer contact and lead reviews to ensure scope and requirements are met.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain to manage suppliers and performance.
• Identify and mitigate opportunities, risks and issues related to cost, schedule and tech.
• Build strong customer partnerships and grow business with customers.
