Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Lake Charles is seeking a friendly cashier to deliver accurate, efficient service on the casino floor. You will handle cash transactions, replenish currency for NRT machines, and assist guests with a positive, confidential attitude.

As part of our team, you will follow all policies and procedures, support end-of-day drops, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment dedicated to guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and team members; must be fluent and literate in English.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Must have basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• 10-key (calculator) skills a plus.
• General cashiering background or prior money handling experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing varied cashier functions in a pleasant, efficient, and honest manner.
• Adheres to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
• Replenishes currency in cassettes as needed for all NRT machines.
• initiates end-of-day drops on machines.
• Counts down bank at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Troubleshoots NRT machines when issues arise.
• Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
• Mantains strict confidentiality in all company matters.
