Legacy Supply Chain in Dublin, OH is seeking an Import Specialist / Customs Entry Writer to classify and submit documentation for importing goods, ensuring CBP compliance; salary includes bonus and robust benefits.

You will handle daily entries, coordinate with carriers, verify classifications, and support customers with timely imports while leveraging knowledge of OGAs and Incoterms.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in international logistics or customs brokerage.
• Knowledge of US regulations, Incoterms, and HTS classification.
• Strong understanding of US, Asia, and EU regulations.
• Experience in multinational customs & VAT environments.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and related software.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• File daily import entries and prepare required documentation (7501, 3461).
• Verify entries with Airlines/NVOCCs/ Steamship Lines and prepare brokerage files.
• Prepare entry documents for CBP approval and duty payment.
• Coordinate delivery orders with truckers and verify receipt.
• Advise importers on tariff classification, regulations and procedures.
• Maintain timely filing and delivery of freight per company and customer expectations.

Job Overview

Legacy Supply Chain is hiring an Import Specialist / Customs Entry Writer who will classify, submits documentation for importing goods, ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations. This position includes a competitive salary and bonus plan with a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.

What to Expect as in Import Specialist / Customs Entry Writer:

• Responsible for daily entry filing, familiar with OGAs (FDA, FCC, USDA, etc.) requirements.
• Prepare entry documentation including 7501, 3461, etc.
• Prepare customs brokerage file
• Verify arrival information with Airlines/NVOCC's/ Steamship Lines, etc.
• Rate commercial invoice with tariff numbers
• Verify country of origin
• Prepare entry documents for Customs approval and Duty payment
• Prepare delivery order, send to trucker, verify receipt
• Advise importers of any areas of tariff classification, regulations and procedures.
• Ensure that all entries are filed on time and freight delivered in a timely manner in accordance with company and customer expectations.
• Background in Cargowise preferred
• Background in FTZ weekly blanket and withdrawal preferred.
• Maintain Customer Service functions and follow guidelines and procedures for handling customer issues.
• Process incoming and outgoing customer calls to provide customer satisfaction
• Provide initial Customer Service functions on new inquiries.
